Blue is my favorite color. I love everything from soft baby blue to deep, rich tones like cobalt. Cobalt blue has been trending for awhile now and it's not looking like it's going out anytime soon. I love that this color works on pretty much every skin tone, and that it's bold enough to make a statement on it's own!

History with a Twist recap
A few weeks ago Chris and I were honored to attend a great Dallas event called History with a Twist. It was a fabulous 1920s charity event held at Dallas Heritage Village. Today I wanted to share a few of my photos! (sorry they're not the best quality, I only took cell phone pics)
I threw together my outfit the day of, just hours before leaving! So I'm actually pretty impressed with myself for feeling so 20s... especially my hair... which I pulled out of my ass first try after staring at pinterest pics for about an hour. And it only took me like 2 hours LOL! Hey! Have you seen how much hair I have?

Lately
Happy Friday!! I wanted to just take a moment to acknowledge and thank some new followers lately for joining me on my journey! I know it's not about the numbers AT ALL but there's something reassuring about new followers because it makes you feel a little bit better about yourself and like you're doing something "right". My blogging really is an escape for me... something I love doing... and something I'm still, and will probably always be, finding my way through.
I want to share, but I don't want to over-share. I want people to know me, but I don't want to sit around talking about myself all the time. So, it's a delicate balance and I've really relied on other bloggers lately to help guide me. The biggest advice I get as a blogger, from other bloggers and professional women, is to just be myself and let my personality show. Every blogger is different but we all have a similar goal: to inspire others in some way.
Today, I though I'd share to a few changes I've made in my life lately. Maybe it will inspire you to make one (or more) changes. I think this will be a good way for me to acknowledge some improvements (go me!) but also share just a little bit about where I am right now, and where I'm hoping (and planning and working) to go. So this may seem like a totally random post but I kind of like that :-) Please let me know what you think in the comments below!

Spot On: Dalmatian Print
I'm no stranger to animal print! In my world, it is a neutral and I love mixing multiple animal prints!! I've also been known to sport the less popular animal prints... can I get a what what for cow print?! Because I was sporting that in high school (and still own an awesome jacket that I've never seen on anyone else)
I feel like I don't see a whole lot of dalmatian print, but I'm predicting that soon you'll be able to find a lot more! Why do I love it? It's a simple animal print in both color and pattern. If you like black and white (or if you're obsessed like me) and/or polka dots, this is a super easy animal print to pull off. Dalmatian print gives you the irregular, organic pattern of an animal print while keeping the simplicity of dots.
If you're not a head-to-toe animal print girl, no problem! Try adding it in a few accessories like a clutch or jewelry, or just your shoes. This is a super easy pattern to add into any outfit since it's black and white. If you're really loving the print, try adding it to your home decor for some sassy splashes! I'm kind of obsessed with the toss pillows and shower curtain.
