Instagram Try on session 4/2/20- clothing links

What day is it?  Thursday?! What?!  I'm actually surprised at how fast time is flying right now.  Don't get me wrong, the whole quarantine thing is going by slowly BUT I do actually feel like my individual days are going by pretty quick... Thank GOD!  K is keeping me super busy and I'm just absolutely exhausted doing it all on my own.  Even though I'm getting plenty of sleep, I feel more tired than ever.

Today I finally got a chance to do a quick try-on session with some of my newest online purchases.  If you haven't already watched my Instagram stories, I hope you'll go check it out!  I learned very quickly that my master bedroom lighting is horrible and I'll have to do something about that.  We have very little natural light in our house, unfortunately, and I can't stand any of our light fixtures LOL.  But one thing at a time.  I'm just happy my mirror is finally in a good place so I can try on clothes and show y'all!

So tonight I just wanted to quickly recap the items I shared and link them for y'all.  Obviously, my ultimate goal is to be able to swipe up on IG, so if you feel so inclined, I'd love if you'd share my profile with any you know that loves affordable fashion and home decor, especially anyone living in Fort Worth since I share on a lot of local boutiques and restaurants.  I'm excited to start sharing more of my home decor and DIY projects!  I appreciate y'all so much and I just want to grow my following so it's a little easier for me to share things directly from Insta!

I really got some great deals on the pieces I'm sharing.  I'm a bargain shopper so of course I'm always sorry in advance if anything sells out quickly or isn't available in all sizes.
CRAWFORD JUMPSUIT- The Styled Collection
Only $11!  I'm wearing small; Stocked in small, medium and large in black
(sorry my olive green is sold out)
$26.99 I'm wearing XS; Stocked in XS- XXL;
also available in Zebra print and Leopard midi (only $17.97)
$69.50 (so sorry, I caught these on a $30 sale so I will definitely share on IG if I see them go on sale again) I'm wearing XS in black; 5 colors available

MARGARITAS POR FAVOR TEE- purchased locally at a Stockyards boutique
(working on figuring out the name)

Have you been living in sweats and comfy clothes?  I definitely have!  I'm so bummed that I can't have a date night out and wear the jumpsuit and the tie dye dress.  Can't wait until that day comes.  Hope y'all are surviving!  Anyone dealing with extra anxiety can ALWAYS DM me or message me and I will always be able to relate.  Y'all know I'm here!  I'm taking everything one day at a time!  And although I'm limiting myself on the shopping, every once in awhile I just have to grab a new clothing item.  It's fun getting something in the mail!
Even if I have to Clorox Wipe the shit out of it! ;)

Fort Worth local companies that give back

Hey y'all!! Happy Friday!! Did anyone else have a super fast week?  Did you see my cute clutch bag on Instagram?  I love this fun pattern and the colors so much!  It's SO me!  This bag is from Elizabeth's Voice.  They have two artisan groups in Uganda and Lebanon.  In Uganda, the group is made up of single moms and widows.  In Lebanon, the group is all Iraqi and Syrian refugees rebuilding their lives in Beirut.  You can follow them on Facebook and Instagram.

Valentine's Day 2020 outfit

Hey y'all!  Hope you enjoyed your MLK day, if you happened to get the day off!  I spent mine in catch up mode and sadly, I don't feel that caught up yet.  I did check some things off my to-do list so that feels good!  I'm super excited for some fun things that I have coming up!  It's blowing my mind that it's almost the end of January.  I've been working hard on myself and on my blog and there's just so many good things in the works!  It feels amazing!  I'm so grateful for the supportive people in my life and those readers and followers that are sticking by me as I figure this stuff out!

Today's post is all about my Valentine's outfit!  I don't know what the plan is yet haha actually just asked Chris today if we're doing something for Valentine's because I have this adorable sweater... *hint hint wink wink*

TCU Game Day Fashion

I'm back baby!  If you don't follow me yet on Instagram then you may not know that I started working part time with Shop Small Fort Worth.  Working plus having a toddler plus working my Mary Kay business has dramatically reduced my time for blogging and therefore I've taken a HUGE break.  And on top of that, I've mentioned in the past too, that I want so badly to change platforms and revamp the entire blog.  To be honest, I don't really like posting on here any more and I've been "saving up" multiple blog posts until I have a new blog launched instead of driving traffic to this page... but well, here I am again posting on here because I most definitely have not had the time to launch an entire new blog or to even decide if I want to hire help with that or what.

So I'm still here and I've decided that I'm going to try to do 1-2 posts a week since Kendall is now in school, and then I'll also work on figuring out what I'm going to do with the blog overall.

So now that it's mid-August (whaaaat?!) I'm happy to say that my first blog post after the long hiatus is all about Game Day Fashion... more specifically TCU Game Day Fashion!  Y'all know I love my purple and my Horned Frogs (any fellow alumni??) so I'm excited to share some adorable outfits and some tailgating/ watch party goods!  I will be linking some things but even if I can't link things directly, everything pictured is available at The Collective, which is a local Fort Worth boutique.
Dress & Scarf: shop at The Collective //
Booties: {old} similarsimilar, similar
Purple Tie Front Dress: Fringe Gifts {on sale!} or shop at The Collective //
Earrings: shop at The Collective // Styrofoam Cups: Cowtown Made or shop at The Collective
Dress: shop at The Collective // Necklace: Fringe Gifts {on sale!} or shop at The Collective //
Cheers to Gameday Flutes and Clear Purse: shop at The Collective
Purple Texas Forever Tee: Fringe Gifts or shop at The Collective
Cleat Chaser tee: Fringe Gifts // Pearl Headband: Fringe Gifts
or shop all at The Collective (including earrings)

This is only a small sampling of the TCU fashion, accessories and game day gear you can find at The Collective!  Obviously it's probably the easiest to stop by the shop and shop for everything all at once since I did pull all of these items from the shop.  Items available online I've linked above and you can always reach out to Cowtown Made and Fringe Gifts on social media and they will pull items for you!  They are both very helpful and you can even pay Venmo and pick your items up later.

Is anyone else as excited for football season as me?! There's just something about this time of year!! Go Frogs!

New Year's Eve fashion

Happy New Year's Eve Eve!  I can't believe we're about to say goodbye to 2018!  It feels like the holidays came and went so fast and it's a little crazy to me that we're one day away from NYE!  I'm really looking forward to ringing in the new year... mostly because 2018 was awful for me but also because I CAN'T WAIT to wear my dress!

Lately: basic tees and hats plus my go-to shop for deals

Hey y’all! Ok love you mean it but I’m not even bothering with any pics on this post! 🤣😘  Just wanted to pop on here quick a share a short list of some basics I stocked up on (tees and hats for summer) and also share my adorable palm leaf dress again because it’s such a bargain!!!

Sooo if you saw on Instagram, here’s my tees for only $2.88 a piece and my hats for only $2.97!! I got a white shirt, a black and an olive and I’ve worn all of them multiple days so far! #momstyle 😉 I’m not finding my exact satin pink hat in the satin material so for those local, I got mine at Walmart by the Naval Air Base and they had pink and olive green and I can’t remember what else a couple days ago. For those shopping online, this one is similar for just slightly more. I was also obsessed with these gingham hats in pink and black and might have to go back to see if they’re still there! We regret the things we don’t buy, right ladies?!

And last but not least, here’s my super cute palm leaf dress for only $11!!! I got a size small and it’s such a fun little dress for any summer soirée! I’m thinking about wearing it to the She Belongs event on Saturday at Kendra Scott .  I’ve been loving this online shop so much because it is so affordable and they have amazing sales!

I can’t believe it’s Thursday already! What are y’all planning for the weekend? I need some major pool time and 4th planning! Hope y’all have a great Friday eve!

Texas Sass Valentine's day giveaway

I have always loved Valentine's Day! Today I'm doing an Instagram Giveaway to celebrate women and love ❤ I hope y'all LOVE the items I selected! I'll explain a little about each item and why I love it so much! Keep reading for a bonus entry opportunity!

Glamboxes clear makeup bag - This is a bag I received with my Glambox and I set it aside for a future giveaway. I have a makeup bag just like it in black and it has quickly become my favorite. It's durable plastic, easy to clean and dare I say life changing for this mom with very little time! No more digging through my bag for that item that inevitably falls to the very bottom... I've seriously cut my makeup time in half just because of the convenience of finding the item through the clear bag first!

Professional Makeup brush set - 5 brushes including powder, blush, eye shadow, eye crease and  eye liner/brow . This makeup brush set is my favorite because it comes with the brush holder to organize all your brushes and has extra pockets for makeup, brush cleaner or whatever you want! The fold down flap keeps the brushes covered and clean.

Beauty That Counts® Mary Kay® Baked Cheek Powder - This adorable heart shaped blush is such a flattering shade on any woman. It has been my favorite blush and it was limited edition so I've been hoarding them basically lol but someone will be so lucky to get this! It also gives back to the Mary Kay Foundation which supports women's shelters and survivors of domestic abuse.

Mary Kay® Lash Love® mascara - Every girl needs a good mascara and this is a great formula for anyone. The flexible brush makes separating lashes super easy and it helps condition lashes and defend against breakage.

Accessory bags, set of 3 - Organize your jewels, delicates and essentials in these adorable white bags with rose gold lettering! Now that everyone is starting to think of spring and summer vacations, I thought these would be perfect for the travel girl or for anyone that just loves keeping their items clean and tidy. Every girl benefits from a little organization!

"Stay Sassy" trinket tray - If you watch my insta stories you'll know I specifically picked out this item at Winton and Waits for this giveaway! It's perfect for jewelry or little things around the office or house and it's my reminder to you that we all have a little sassy in us ❤ Winton and Waits is a great boutique for affordable, adorable clothing, accessories and home decor and they partner with non-profits that benefit Ethiopian women, adoption, and survivors of sexual exploitation.

I'd love to keep all of these items, not gonna lie!!! But I'd rather share the LOVE and say thank you for following along and supporting me, whether you read the blog or follow me on Instagram or Twitter... I appreciate you! This giveaway is not sponsored in any way, so the specific brands I've chosen are just brands I happen to like.

To enter the giveaway you must follow the steps on my Instagram Giveaway Post.
✳For a bonus entry, comment below with which item you're most excited about!

What do y'all have planned for Valentine's Day? Chris and I haven't even discussed!! Haha #parentlife

Over-the-knee boots on sale!

Hey y'all! Wanted to share these boots today because I finally joined the over-the-knee boot party!  I ordered these Marc Fisher boots in gray and black and if you follow me on Instagram you may have seen on my stories the other day that my gray boots came in! I'm super excited to share that even though I was worried about the fit, that they are absolutely perfect and fit me really well! One of the reasons I purchased these particular boots is because I have thin legs. After reading the reviews, a lot of people said they fit them well when they had trouble finding boots that would stay up on their own because of their thin legs. Bingo! Since I want to be able to wear them with pants as well as skirts, they needed to be snug.
I also really don't like shopping when I can't try things on. It can often cause a problem for me because I have narrow feet and my size can vary a lot across brands as well as type of shoe. I end up returning a lot of shoes or exchanging back and forth. Soooo in my opinion, this is a great boot that fits well and at a super great price point, especially for an OTK boot!!
These Marc Fisher boots come in three colors from DSW (the other is a Berry color). I am linking them from DSW because they are currently on clearance price varying from $59 to $89. Use code JANUARY18 for an extra discount but hurry, it ends tonight!
(Pic from DSW)
I can't wait to get the black! I'm not over here tracking them obsessively or anything!! If you are looking in black and DSW doesn't have your size stocked (pretty much all sizes ARE stocked), you can try here.

I can tell these are boots I'm going to get a lot of use out of so I'm really happy that I made the decision to get gray and black!
The chunkier block heel makes them very comfortable and easy to walk in, even if I have to chase after Kendall. They are faux suede and the back panel of the boot is a stretchy material.
Today we are lounging around the house as a family and I will be doing some meal prep for the week later. It's sort of a gloomy day and we're all relaxing and enjoying the end of the weekend. What are y'all up to today?

Mommy and mini PJ party

Hey y'all! Happy Monday! Can you believe Christmas is only a week away? I don't even want to admit to myself how much I have left to do! It's been a little hard to be productive around here lately. There's been a lot going on and to top it off our entire family got sick last week. Yuck!

So needless to say we've all been lounging in pretty comfy clothing lately. Today I'm sharing my new favorite PJs that I've been living in! These are great to purchase for yourself or would also make a really cute gift!
They are so soft! They're also warm enough but not too warm to sleep in. I usually don't sleep in long sleeves but I was comfortable in these the other night. There's a kangaroo pouch in the front if you're like me and have to have pockets for your hands! They come in five different color patterns  (WAIT, they added a blue ombre and I'm obsessed! so now 6 colors!!) and each one comes with a matching beanie! I love that it comes with the beanie because it's trendy right now but it also allows you to mix and match it with other outfits so you're basically kind of getting a hat for free! Seriously though, I've seen a lot of other beanies with pom poms on top recently that cost just as much as this entire pajama set!

I went with the black snowflake pattern because I liked it a lot and I also thought the black beanie would be very versatile for me. I may have put two other colors on my Christmas list lol. If you're someone that prefers button up PJs (or maybe you're breastfeeding) or maybe you don't like the jogger pants trend and like a more straight leg, check these out!

I'm sorry for not having more pictures! Y'all have no idea how difficult it is to get a picture now with Kendall because she will not sit still!! BUT anyway, you can always message me on Instagram or Twitter for more detailed looks! I'm more than happy to answer questions! (You can also comment below on this post)
My PJ set with matching beanie is on sale for less than $30. Kendall's jammies are on sale for $10. You can get an extra 15-20% off both with code SAVEMORE20

This damp cold weather is killing me! You might find me in these PJs again tonight on IG stories or Snapchat (tx.sass). Who knows 😊

New in the closet: sweater weather

Hey y'all! Happy Monday! As usual, we've been horribly confused lately in Texas with the weather! One day we're sweating in the 90s (seriously y'all, last week we hit a record high for November) and the next day we're bundled up in sweaters. I've switched our A/C from cold to heat and back twice now and every day I have to go outside with my morning coffee to check the temperature before getting dressed. Despite being in Texas almost my entire life, you never really get used to it, in my opinion.

Fort worth shopping events Oct 24-28

Hey y'all! We all know that shopping is way more fun when there is champagne, wine and/or appetizers involved! Today I wanted to tell you quickly about two fun shopping events happening in Fort Worth. One is today, Tuesday, October 24th, and the other is Saturday, October 28th.

If you've read a few of my latest posts, you'll know that I'm really in love with the West Bend shopping area on University. If you have yet to visit West Bend, today would be a great day to check it out! Pax and Parker is having a shopping event today from 4 p.m. to 7 and you can sip champagne and earn double rewards points.
The other shopping event I want to highlight is happening this Saturday. It is brought to you by Sundance Square and it sounds like so much fun! This is a "Spooky Sip and Shop" event you need to purchase tickets for ahead of time. There are multiple shops participating! Shops are having special deals and discounts. There will also p drinks in light bites provided. Ticket purchase is $25 and it is actually a donation to The Tarrant Area Food Bank. You can read more about this event HERE and purchase tickets.

I'd love to know if you're going to this event! Saturday is my birthday and I'm still not sure what I'll be doing, but this sounds like a really fun option!

Kendall's 1st birthday: Party shoes

Hey y'all! I feel like I have been so MIA from the blog and I'm so sorry. Life is always taking over. We celebrated Kendall's first birthday over the weekend and I think I'm still in shock that my baby is one year old! I mentioned on Instagram that I will be doing a series of blog posts about her birthday party. I will be going over the decor I used, a few DIY projects, and outfits.

Chris is working late tonight and I am taking a little bit of relaxing mommy time with my real housewives (I have a sick obsession!!) But I wanted to link Kendall's party shoes for Tuesday Shoes Day!
I love allowing Kendall to be barefoot almost everywhere. She basically never wears shoes when we're home. And even when I take her outside to play we love to both be barefoot. However she is walking so much now that we needed to invest in a good pair of shoes. I decided to buy her these platinum bow moccasins as a birthday present and give them to her before her party since they matched her dress perfectly. So far they are tricky for her to walk on our hardwood floors LOL. When she walked out into her party she stood perfectly still in the same spot for probably about 3 minutes, just looking around at everybody and not understanding what the birthday party was 😂 But I know with a little practice she'll get the hang of it.
You can find these adorable shoes HERE. I went with a neutral color that I know will go with a lot of her outfits. There are so many adorable shoes that I want!! Y'all seriously, the prints!!!

I can't wait to share more details with you about her party. It was a great success and we all had a lot of fun! How was your weekend? has anybody gone to the state fair yet? Did everybody enjoy the gorgeous weather we had today in DFW?

Plaid poncho and 3 things I'm looking forward to this fall

I've had this plaid poncho for a couple of years now.  I had it on a wish list and my sweet friend Kelly sent it to me as a gift.

Floral kimono

I don't really enjoy online shopping that much for myself.  I really prefer the actual experience of shopping and trying things on rather than clicking a button. But, since becoming a first time mommy, I haven't had as much time for clothing shopping and online shopping has become a handy tool for me.

Buffalo check top and my Fort Worth mural series

Happy Friday y'all! I'm sharing this fun lace up top today and I wanted to make a fun announcement! I am going to be doing a huge roundup of Fort Worth murals for you! I'm so in love with all the art that is popping up around Funkytown and love that everyone is embracing the mural love! Murals have been pretty hot lately and I love that Fort Worth is getting just a little funkier ;)

Lace bell sleeve top + West Elm Fort Worth grand opening

Ok so Kendall is on a pretty good schedule and she's usually getting bottle and going to bed somewhere around 6:30-7:30 every night. It's awesome that she finally sleeps so well at night considering what my first few months were with her, BUT it also means that unless we have a babysitter Chris and I are chillin and locked into in the house at 6pm haha.

Well, last night momma broke the rules so we could stop by the opening of the brand new Fort Worth West Elm!

Olive choker tank and Kendall's cactus print dress

Hmm, let me talk about olive ONE MORE TIME ;) I love this tank! First of all, it's a nice soft fabric with some stretch so it wears well. It's very comfortable and can be easily layered. This will be a perfect piece to snag now (it's a steal!) and layer under cardigans and jackets for fall.

Tuesday Shoes day: Vince Camuto heels

Just wanted to share that these heels are probably the most comfy I've ever purchased!
I'm not having any issues with being on my feet for a long time or having to walk around. I wore them to the Dallas Aquarium and I wear them frequently around Fort Worth.  I love the nude color and that they go with dressier outfits as well as my favorite distressed jeans.
Distressed denim, my favorite tank, a chunky sweater and these heels!  This has been my favorite outfit lately. You'll probably see it a lot! I've been loving the thunderstorms in Fort Worth the last few days and I'm ready for more! Come on cooler temps and all things fall! 🍃

Blush and olive casual Friday

Happy Friday y'all!! I've mentioned a few times on the blog now that I've been crushing over olive and blush together. Well the color combo obsession is continuing!

Haute Mess tee and 5 ways I'm getting back to being my pre-baby self

So, lately I've been motivated to really, for lack of a better term, get shit done! For awhile I really felt drowned in new-mommy-hood and not a lot like myself but lately I feel like I'm on a great upswing.
